The ingredients needed to make Cabbage Rice:
  1. Prepare 1 cup cooked rice
  2. Get 1 cup shredded cabbage
  3. Prepare 1 small onion sliced
  4. Take 1 green chilli
  5. Make ready 1/2 tsp mustard cumin seeds
  6. Get 1/2 tsp urad dal
  7. Make ready 1/2 tsp chana dal
  8. Make ready 1 bay leaf
  9. Make ready 1 whole red chilli
  10. Take As needed Curry leaves
  11. Get 1/2 tsp haldi ( turmeric)powder
  12. Make ready 1 tbsp oil
  13. Take 1/2 tsp ghee
  14. Take Pinch hing/asafoetida
  15. Take to taste Salt
Instructions to make Cabbage Rice:
  1. Take a pan add oil, ghee and heat in medium heat. Now add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, chana daal,urad daal, whole red chilli and bay leaf and pinch of hing now add sliced onion and sauté for few seconds
  2. Now add shredded cabbage, curry leaves, and one green chilli. Add salt and sauté for one min until the cabbage is a little cooked
  3. Now add the cooked rice and haldi powder. Mix well
  4. Your cabbage rice is ready garnish with coriander leaves and serve with raita
